| Maternal Pulse | Hourly | every 15 min |
| Temperature | 4 hourly | 4 hourly |
| Blood Pressure | 4 hourly | Hourly |
| Vaginal examination | 4 hourly | Hourly |
| Fetal Heart Rate | every 15 minutes | Every 5 minutes |
These are not absolute rules and the frequency of observations should change according to maternal and fetal condition.
